I recently purchased a new emachines netbook, and I would like to change the panel but even when I go to display on the control panel, or try to directly set a picture as my background from the internet it will not change.

by admin on February 27, 2010

Medion has released their first Pinetrail powered netbook, called the  Akoya E1222 .   Previous Akoya netbooks from Medion were just  rebranded MSI Wind netbooks and we think this is also rebranded but we can’t figure out which design yet.  Let us know if you recognize it. Specs on the E1222 are pretty standard for this generation of netbooks, notably  a 10.1” 1024 x 600 display (looks glossy), Atom N450 processor, GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, 1.3MP webcam. Decked with the standard array of ports. Windows 7 Starter. 4-cell and 6-cell battery options. It’ll be released locally in Germany at least, priced from 299 Euros. Check out the German commercial after the break. via Netbooked

If a netbook can run WoW can you give me some options? Under 0 if you can. Also, what is The Wrath of the Lich King? Does it give you more features and maps or is it an entirely new game?

It’s been a few months since Asus first showed us the Eee PC T101MT tablet netbook , and now All Touch Tablet have gotten their hands on one for a little hands-on video and review. The T101MT tablet is a follow up to the T91MT tablet but fortunately it swaps out the Z series Atom processor for a more powerful N450.   Despite that, however, the tablet still struggled with video and consumed 10-15% of it’s processor capacity just sitting idle.  The rest of the hardware consists of 2GB of RAM and a 320GB hard-drive, together with WiFi 802.11n, a 4-cell 2400mAh removable battery and a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium The  Asus Eee PC T101MT still isn’t shipping to customers yet. But the folks at All Touch Tablet got their hands on a review unit of the first 10 inch touchscreen tablet-style netbook from Asus. And they’ve posted a  short review of the laptop . Asus wisely decided to drop the sluggish Intel Atom Z520 processor used in its 9 inch Eee PC T91MT tablet. Instead the T101MT has a faster 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 Pine Trail CPU and GMA 3150 graphics. It also packs 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and Windows 7 Home Premium. Build quality on this machine was decent, but not superb.  There was little flex in the keyboard and a solid hinge that doesn’t feel like it’s going to break off but the hard drive is kind of noisy, and the touchscreen wasn’t very precise near the edge of the display — although this was possibly a defective screen on the demo unit. Check out the unboxing video after the break. Via Slashgear ASUS EEE PC T101 MT hands on and preview from John Pope on Vimeo .

The reliability of printer ink cartridges vary a lot. Those who own printers expect the best quality printout from their printers. But most people follow the advice of buying printer ink cartridges of the same brand as the printer they own. You can often purchase these branded printer cartridges in the same store where branded printers can be bought. Purchasing replacement cartridges can be costly over time, more so when you tend to print a lot. There are cheaper alternatives that work just as well as the original brands. As you keep buying original cartridges, the cost piles up. And then you note you’ve been spending more than what you paid for the printer itself. To reduce cartridge expenditures and yet still get the printing quality you expect, you have options. You could get refill kits and refill the cartridge yourself. Or visit refilling stations and have it refilled there. There are also generic cartridges available, along with remanufactured ones. Any of these choices discussed are cheaper over time, than buying original cartridges.

A printer can consistently meet your printing needs when it has the right printer cartridges, whether inkjet or laser toner. Buying either printer cartridges must be in line with the type of printer you have. Laser printers, which makes use of toners, can print thousands of pages before needing replacement. Companies that need documents to be printed routinely and en masse need laser printers. But then, when you don’t regularly use your printer, then having inkjet printers and inkjet cartridges maybe best for you. At Tonik, we offer both name brand and generic printer cartridges of all type. We have an large distribution network, which we can use to find a printer cartridge you need, just in case we happen to not have it in stock.
