Asus ’s new Eee PC 1005PR sports a new  high resolution 1366 x 768 pixel display.  And, not only do you get the HD display, there’s also a  Broadcom Crystal HD video accelerator so you can playback HD video smoothly on the HD display The laptop has a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive. It sports 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a 0.3MP webcam, and Windows 7 Starter Edition. Asus says the battery is good for up to 11 hours of run time, which in my experience means you’ll probably get about 8 hours of web surfing over WiFi. The E ee PC 1005PR is up for pre-order in the States @ $300 but isn’t available in the UK yet, nor do we know when it will be, but it is up for pre-order in the States so we can only guess that a UK launch is imminent. via Netbooked
