How can I download the full version of Halo legally for free onto my netbook?

I just bought an acer netbook with windows xp on it, and i know its a bit old, but my favorite game to play on my old laptop that i sold was Halo. I bought the game in Wal-Mart, and I have a CD key, but my new netbook sadly has no CD drive. Since I already own the game, is there a legal safe way to download the game for free?
You misunderstood me. I sold my laptop. I still have the game.

Since you sold the game, you are no longer in legal possession of the game. Just because you still have the CD key doesn't mean you have legal possession of the game. There are lots of ways to get a CD key without buying the game, and there are lots of ways to get a game without the CD key. To have legal possession of a game, you must have both the CD key and the game.

So, there is no legal way for you to get the game since you don't legally own the game.

No, he didn't misunderstand you.

There is never a legal way to download a game for free unless the distributor is giving it away for free. Just because you at one point bought it does not mean you are able to download it for free.

Your going to have to illegally download it onto your laptop.
