How can I put windows 7 on my netbook with XP?

I just bought my netbook in august with XP service pack 3. I upgraded my Vista laptop to windows 7 and I like it so much I want to put it on my netbook. How is this possible and I prefer the home premium version to the starter version. Please help!

You will have to purchase another Windows 7 license, and if you can’t find a friend to loan you an external drive, then you will need to buy one of those as well to install Windows 7.

as long as your specs are up there with win 7 you will just have to do a clean install.

and run adviser at the bottom of the screen

Well, since most netbooks dont have an optical drive. You have to install windows 7 off a flashdrive, which is pretty simple. You can google it or email me and I’ll help you.

You will need to buy another copy of Windows 7. XP does not qualify for the free upgrade, and the license code that came with the copy you have already installed is linked to the computer it is installed on. It will not allow you to activate Windows on another computer.

If you have an external USB DVD drive then you can use that to install the new OS. If not, UltraISO is one program that will allow you to copy a DVD image onto a flash drive (4GB or larger is needed for Windows 7).

You need to buy another copy and install it via an external optical drive or by transferring the install files to a USB drive.

You’ll install the 32-bit version on a netbook.

You might want to look into the family 3-pack if you’re going to have multiple installs.
