I wouldnt do that on that machine if I was you, I would just use a Virtual Machine, research them in google, Virtual Machines are great, there are free ones available
However Ubuntu has a new feature called "Wubi" this installs the Operating System onto your computer as a dual boot and you can add more if you wish, It does everything automatically for you and if you decide you dont want it anymore, go to the control pannel, Add/remove programs and uninstall it, No Mess, No Fuss LOL
