How do i use my netbook as a desktop?

I have a netbook and i heard that you can use a laptop dock to hook up a second monitor or something.. how do i use my netbook as a desktop? i wanna add my desktop monitor to my netbook. how do i do that?

You can hook it up to a desktop monitor, but don’t. A netbook is not a desktop or a laptop, it is an different product. It has minimal RAM and is meant to run the internet and check e-mail. Laptops and desktops are meant to download tons of programs, go fast, play movies, things like that. Netbooks are meant to be glorified smart phones.

Exactly…you can hook it up to an external monitor if your netbook has the appropriate connections or you can plug it in to your tv if it has an hdmi port.

I wouldn’t do it though. Not just because of RAM, but also because of screen size. If you take a 13.1 inch screen and try to project it onto a 20 inch monitor or onto a tv, the screen will look pixilated and grainy. Best to just stick with your screen you have. It’s a netbook…it’s not designed to do anything fancy. It’s just there for convenience and productivity.
