Title says all. I would like to know if I could leave a Netbook plugged in and on while running a low CPU using program, 24/7. I’m mostly worried about overheating. And if overheating is a problem, would a cooling pad or some kind of cheap external fan do the trick? Thanks for any input.

You do not need to worry about overheating for netbooks, as they have a very low power consuming processor. It is ok to leave netbook running 24/7, but do plan to shut it down once in a while.
