New Shuttle B10 Netbook has External Graphics Port

Shuttle has launched a new netbook, it’s called the B10.  This is Shuttle’s first foray into the netbook market, although they practically invented the nettop market.   The new B10 features Pinetrail internals – notably a N450 processor and Integrated GMA3150 graphics. That’s not very exciting, but GXT jack on the side of the netbook is.  It allows one to for connecting an external video card to the netbook.  It seems like a good alternative to the mediocre performance of the built-in graphics card, and the energy sapping operation of the Nvida Ion solutoon since it would allow you to plug in a high end graphics card when docked at home. Roland from  Netbook News got a good look at the netbook at CeBIT in Germany, and there’s a video he took after the break. Oh, and the rest  of the Shuttle B10 netbook – a 3 cell battery, 3 USB ports, a card reader, webcam, and Ethernet jack. There’s also a SIM Card slot, which means that there will at least be a 3G option for this notebook. It’s due out in the third quarter of the year.
