Nvidia showed off tablet prototypes of various sizes to show off an launch their new Tegra 2 platform at CES 2010 today – all expected to be released this year. The Tegra 2 chipset is based on 40nm technology of the  dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, which runs to 1.0GHz and is more power efficient than Intel Atom and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors.  It’s also claimed to be 4x faster than the first Tegra and 10x faster than current processors in today’s smartphones, and smartbooks.  What’s more, it has full 1080p HD playback support (inc. Flash 10.1) and supports Windows CE / Mobile, Android and soon, Chrome OS. We’re looking forward to it. That’s not all: 140 hours of music, 16 hours of full HD video and handles Unreal Engine 3 powered games.
