Well, it’s better late than never we suppose. Despite the fact that Intel’s Pinetrail processors launched last January, Dell has decided that now is the time to to update its Latitude netbook with Intel’s Pine Trail processors . The 10-inch Latitude 2110, like the previous 2100 , is still very much aimed at students, and keeps its chassis in tact with the same rubber cover (available in red, blue and black) as well as that anti-microbial keyboard to protect against insect secretions, misplaced mayonnaise and far-flung mucus particles. We don’t see pricing for the Latitude 2110 on Dell UK’s site yet , but in the States the Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM and Ubuntu will go for $389, and the Windows Starter option should boost the price to $419. If you’re after a Dell Netbook with a Pinetrail processor now, don’t forget about the Dell Mini 10. It’s available now, for just under £200.

There’s been quite a bit of news on the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t – we did a roundup of the stories here and had an unboxing video as well. Now, Joanna over at Engadget, has put up another review of the 10.1” Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t tablet netvertible. The model tested had an Atom N470 processor, 4-cell battery and Windows 7 Home Premium priced at $649 USD (~434 GBP). Pros: - Nice weight, comfortable to use in two hands. - No potruding battery from the back. - Capacitive touchscreen is responsive and flicking through web pages is enjoyable. - 4-Cell battery lasted a solid 4.5 hours. Cons: - Atom N470 felt sluggish, seems slower than the HP Mini 210 with the default Atom N450 processor. - Built-in accelerometer worked poorly Joanna resorted to manually pressing the button on the screen bezel for rotation. - Keyboard felt cramped and flexy, trackpad is too small. - Poor viewing screen angles. So, some definite plus points, but also some serious drawbacks for this netvertible that looked so impressive on paper. Check ou the full Lenovo S10-3t review at Engadget if you’d like to read more.

As they did with the Tord Boontje Mini 110, HP have teamed up with designer Vivienne Tam to create a special edition of the new HP Mini 210 netbook. It is scheduled to ship on March 19th, in the States at leaste, and the netbook features a butterfly motif which was designed by Vivienne Tam. The regular HP mini 210 runs about $280 in the US, and this ‘designer’ edition will sell for $600 – so quite a premium. For your extra dosh you get the designer lid, desktop wallpaper and optional matching wireless mouse. Under the hood it’s less designer, and more standard Pinetrail era netbook fare. Namely, it has 2GB of RAM, a 320G hard drive, and runs Windows 7 Home Premium rather than the Windows 7 Starter Edition that normally hobbles 10 inch netbooks. You can check out the Vivienne Tam US edition here at the US Amazon , or you can order the regular HP Mini 210 here in the UK at Amazon for £264.97 . via Chip Chick

Via Blogeee we find that a French retailer called ‘fnac; has posted a new product page for a new Asus netbook called the Eee PC 1005PE-H. It looks identical to the Asus Eee PC 1005PE sharing the same design, keyboard, and N450 processor, but this new Eee PC 1005PE-H comes with more RAM and a bigger hard drive and ships with Windows 7 Home Premium instead of Windows 7 Starter Edition. So far it’s only been spotted in France, but we wouldn’t be surprised at all if this makes it to UK and US markets. We’re very happy to see netbook specs creeping up in off-the-shelf models. Here’s the full specs for the new 1005PE-H. CPU: 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 Display: 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixels RAM: 2GB Storage: 320GB hard drive OS: Windows 7 Home Premium Connectivity: 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet I/O: 3x USB, SD card reader, mic, headphone Battery: 6 cell, 4400mAh Dimensions: 10.3″ x 7″ x 1.4″ Fnac is charging 349 Euros for the Eee PC 1005PE-H, whichi s the equivalent of $476 US, although European prices tend to be higher than prices in the US. via Blogeee
