Tegra, Nvidia’s upcoming Smartbook chip, will run Google’s Chrome OS

Nvidia's Tegra chip will run Google's Chrome OS JkontheRun received confirmation from NVIDIA that it’s jupcoming Tegra smartbook platform will be able to run Google’s new, upcoming and eagerly awaited Chome operating system which we may see as soon as later this year .  Tegra is an ARM-based processor and Google announced that its Chrome OS will be compatible with both  ARM and x86 systems ranging in size from netbooks to full-size desktops. JkontheRun provides some interesting insight and states, Nvidia sees the devices as “dehydrated laptops.” Consumers still want support for x86 and Windows, but why? It’s all in the application support these days, but with the rise of the web as “the ultimate app store,” Nvidia is poised for the shift. Share and Enjoy:
