I am looking for a laptop for school. I have two online classes and will need to use Microsoft Office often. I was told that the Netbook does not have a CD Drive, nor can you get MO on it. I was also told you can use an online web site to only read Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access…..not actually use them. Can someone explain to me the differance?
Could anyone suggest an affordable good Notebook?

A notebook is just a regular PC, while a netbook is a slightly less powerful PC.
Usually, if you want to use Microsoft Office, you would want to get a regular notebook.
Most netbooks don’t come with CD drives. It’s not true that a netbook won’t load Microsoft Office, but most of the time they aren’t powerful enough to run many applications at a time.
Read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netbook
"…netbooks omitted key features (e.g., the optical drive), featured smaller screens and keyboards, and offered reduced specification and computing power"
My advice, go with the Notebook!
Notebook a cheap laptop alternative with low process/ ram ect parts
Netbook a laptop desgined for use with the internet
Netbook – use for a school
Notebook – General/School use
If you can find a cheap Notebook then id buy it over a netbook
First you have to buy a legit copy of Microsoft Office. A netbook a basically the same thing as a notebook without an optical drive, and way smaller screen, 7 to 10 inches at the most.
netbook-laptop
notebook-use a pen to wrtie in a notebook
Netbooks do not have CD drives, and aren’t as powerful as a regular laptop. My advice is to take the notebook, as it will be more powerful, and you will still be able to use the internet.
