A netbook is a budget laptop that sells between $300-$450 with a smaller size, usually less than 11 inches in screen size, smaller keyboard, and slower hardware, such as a slower processor and less ram. In addition, netbooks come with windows xp as a standard, though I have seen some netbooks with windows vista home basic. A notebook laptop is a laptop that sells for $400 or more, comes with a screen size of 11 inches or more, comes with usually more than 2 gigabytes of ram, comes with at least windows home basic, though windows home premium has become a standard.
