I just got a new Acer netbook and about a week ago the internet just wouldnt show up and couldnt connect to it. I have another lap top in my house that gets wireless so i know its not my router. Is there a switch or something that i might have turned to make the wireless go off? Any ideas about this?

If your router is too far away from the netbook then it might have a hard time connecting because their wireless is just not as strong as regular laptops.
kind of a downside….
Use the "Fn" + "Wireless" (the key with the drawing of a antenna) key combination, also check that the little network switch near the bottom right of the keyboard is switched on. It should show an orange light.
i have the same problem. There is no wireless Key on mine.
